We’re Engaged!

She said “yes” yesterday night 🙂

We did a bunch of cool stuff…

Started off shooting munchkins at LazerQuest.  Jess and I placed in the top 5 of both games we played (I beat her by 2 points in the second one) which was impressive considering we didn’t have our own munchkin to use as a meat shield.

Then we went and Canadianized Jessica by getting her some Poutine from Harvey’s.

From there we changed clothes and headed to Medieval Times!

Jess got a wand and a cup that lights up all sorts of colors (pics to come, forgot to take them)

We were in the Yellow Knight’s cheering section, and we all kicked ass at that part.  Then he went and got himself killed, but not before winning a bunch of favors and giving one to Jessica.  The flower is still alive to this day!

After watching LotR wannabes get their asses kicked to the sighs and sobs of the Princess wondering where her beloved Prince was (I kept telling her he found a better woman) we headed to the hotel!

We checked in at the Residence Inn Mariott and waited for the elevators.  We quickly learned that there was a family, with children, trapped in the middle elevator but we decided to brave one of the others anyways.

Our room was badass (pics below) the thing had a full kitchen with dishwasher and stove and we could see the CN Tower from our window.

We relaxed for a while and then got dressed and headed to the CN Tower!

The wait was only five minutes which was very refreshing after the endless wait we had trying to get up the Empire State building in April.

Going up the elevator we had an awesome view of the city falling away below us.  We walked around the upper and scoped out the restaurant before heading down one level to the glass floor and the outside observation deck.

Walking around outside we had a wonderful view of Toronto a night and that’s where I proposed…

She said Yes! 🙂

As we were taking pictures some nice women passes us and were all “OMG DID YOU JUST GET ENGAGED?!?” so we were all sorts of adorable and showed them the ring.  They congratulated us and we stayed outside a bit longer before going inside to the restaurant for a drink.

We we’re hoping to have a cocktail at the 360 lounge (or whatever it’s called) but they wouldn’t seat us without buying entrees so we went to Horizons instead.

After our drink we headed back to the hotel all excited to order room service… which we found out they didn’t have. 🙁

But all was lost! The Guest Services book had a bunch of menus for places that deliver to the hotel so we ordered some fancy pants Philly Cheesesteak Pizza and some cheese cake and ate that in bed!

The next morning we headed back to Guelph, taking the scenic route down Hwy 7.  We saw a bunch of sexy classic cars and the Pimpkids Patch (you’ll see) on our way home for Canadian Thanksgiving!
